But we’re so tired. Just a note to get you all to write (hint, hint). We’ll get caught up tomorrow. Today was another fun day in the village, but we were up at 0600 and it’s now 2100 and we’re beat. Tomorrow I’m going to “lend” some epoxy to one of the villagers who has a hole in his boat. He’s got glass fiber, but no resin. I’ve got the resin. We’ll see what we can do.
See you tomorrow.
It seems a bit incongruent that “Paradise” should be so exhausting! But, after reading all that you two fit into one day, a day of rest seems to be in order.
I won’t be surprised if you eventually post that you’ve decided to build your own hut and stay awhile in Fulunga to set up “shop” carving bowls and sewing dresses! Honestly, I don’t know how you come back to the so-called “civilized” world after all that you have experienced there and how welcomed and accepted you’ve become there.
BUT…..you do have to come back sometime, if only to get internet access to post all those pictures so we can see all that you’ve talked about.
Keep on keeping on……….
I can tell how much you love being in Fulunga, but you know how we know it’s getting to be time for you to leave?? We are desperate for pictures to go along with your stories! Pictures of the quilting and sewing ladies, pictures of the carving men, pictures of the children playing games, pictures of the beautiful paradise that you’ve called home for these many weeks!
