This afternoon, two bright white birds, looking for all the world like white doves appeared out of nowhere and flew around and around us – four, five, maybe six times as if there were bringing a message of peace-“We’re sorry, we didn’t mean to be so rough the other night”.
Thank you. We accept.
Wow what an incredible journey! I hope the peace doves stick around! Jackson off to graduate tomorrow! YEAH!! stay away from those squalls! xxoo
No wind is a bummer, but hope you are feeling a bit rested after being in the washing machine/tumble drier. Looking at the GRIB files, and if I’m reading them correctly, it seems as though you should start to get a little wind from behind the beam for your last 400 miles or so to Papeete – yeah! Did you have time to mark your official crossing of the Tropic of Capricorn and have you managed to shed some of the cold/wet weather clothing?
Whatever you have been doing to appease the weather gods, keep it up. It’s working. Good job.
Talk about out of the frying pan into nirvana. And with two angels sent down to let you know all is well! Based on your descriptions I’d be expecting to hear music from On High next. This has to be a key chapter in The Book of sailing adventures.
I think you may have truly discovered the state of bliss. May it continue.
Sail on, sail on sailors…
very cool.
